Wednesday, 15th February 2006
We couldn’t ignore the question and keep beating about the bush. Many, too many people have preferred resignedly not to think about it any more. As for us, we think it right to repropose this thorny problem in this site as well, voicing the thousands of surfers who are attending it. So, not to dwell on the subject too long, let’s pass immediately to the heart of the burning matter:
In your opinion, is it right that the Mona Lisa, an Italian work portraying an Italian noblewoman (Lisa del Giocondo), the wife of an Italian merchant (Francesco del Giocondo), and painted by an Italian artist (Leonardo da Vinci) should be displayed and kept in an Italian museum, the Uffizi Gallery in Florence?
